Collaboration between myself and ~Tattoo-Experience, he did the lines, while I worked on the colouring. Lots of fun overall, and lots of time invested, especially in the small dotwork on the clock. We're both really happy with the result, though!
Gorgeous warm rust, gold and crimson in this. Great texture and color with a lot of depth to your shading. Great purple shadow and highlights. I love the textured background and all the colors in it, also the texture and form of the halo of the time piece. I love the gear look of it.
Oh, nice! I love the color and the texture of this to give it that steampunk-ish feel. And the other collaborator's drawing is awesome as well with that dynamic pose! This is a really great collab from the two of you. This looks like it could be a cover of a book too.
Two very talented artists working together. Good job! It's not very often that the background of a drawing captures me more than the actually depicted character, but in this one the clock definitely stands out. I can imagine this took you ages, but the result is very much worth the hassle!
Thank you! Ahh, let me think, if i remember correctly, it took my boyfriend around 3-4 hours to work on the sketch and lines. and i worked around 20 hours to get the colouring done. maybe a bit more, all i know for sure is that it took me two and a half working days.
Wow, yes, all that work really shows. How large is the piece? Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it around standard paper size? Just because small formats make it harder to work sometimes. Your handling of the bleed also impresses me; it smoothly goes right up to the edges of the paper. Another difficult thing to accomplish. Did you compensate with a bleed that you trimmed or did you legitimately just draw right up to the edges?
Wow! This collab is amazing! Seriously, his lines are gorgeous. Love the pose and the background, and the face and expression are lovely. And then your coloring is phenomenal as well and really compliments the lines. All together, all the time you both invested was definitely worth it to create such a beautiful piece of art ^_^
